COCAWEU is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Uganda with a mandate to operate country wide. Her vision is to create a lasting impact on the lives of children and women through education, rights protection, health and economic empowerment on a sustainable basis.
Established in 2009 by a group of human activities, teachers, doctors and religious leaders who aimed to fill the missing gaps in child education, livelihood and woman empowerment. Today the organization has expanded to provide children rights governance and protection to vulnerable children and home-based care for single mothers living with HIV /AIDS. The long-term objective of COCAWEU is to ensure that every child is given an opportunity for a better future and vulnerable women (widows and young parents) are empowered economically to support their children.
